Ammonite star Saoirse Ronan has joined Irish Film London (IFL) as its newest patron, following in the footsteps of fellow Irish actors Fiona Shaw and Colin Farrell.

The news was announced on IFL's latest podcast episode, and the award winning actress commented 'Irish Film London has developed a brilliant platform for Irish filmmakers and actors to showcase the breadth of their talent across the UK.... I’m very excited about becoming a Patron of the Irish Film Festival London to support all its endeavours and look forward to being a part of its ambitious future'.
